Both market leaders agree to work together on an ongoing basis
Sports Trade GmbH and SportContract announce the start of a long-term, strategic partnership in the ice hockey sector. The aim of the multi-year cooperation is the efficient and mutual use of video material, statistical data and video tagging. Thanks to the collaboration with SportContract, SpradeTV fans can look forward to innovative new features in the new SpradeTV media library. With the help of data analysis from SportContract, re-live games will in future be equipped with numerous scene tags so that highlights such as goals, checks or parades can be viewed directly in the player. In addition, they are working together on an integration of live streams with real-time data in order to offer viewers an even more intensive and interactive live stream experience.
"We are looking forward to the start of the strategic partnership with SpradeTV. After intensive discussions, we quickly agreed to pursue a comprehensive collaboration in order to further promote ice hockey," says Thorsten Apel, Managing Director of SportContract. Both companies emphasize their openness to future expansions of the partnership, especially with regard to video material from other leagues and teams that could be accessed by Sports Trade GmbH. This strategic alliance is intended to drive digitization and data usage in German ice hockey and allow both fans and analysts to benefit from the synergy effects. "Thanks to the new collaboration, we hope to further enhance the live stream experience. The data and insights from SportContract will further enhance the content of our stream." says Marcel Linke, Managing Director of SpradeTV. The full range of new functions will be available on the website www.sprade.tv from the coming season. Fans can look forward to an expanded media library, which will become even more attractive through the collaboration with SportContract.
